Directional Drilling

Directional Drilling is a steerable method of installing underground pipes, conduits or cables by using a surface launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area. Very good for going under roads streams and other obstacles and is used when trenching or excavating is not practical or desired.

The process starts with two pits being dug. The first stage drills a pilot hole on the designed path, and the second stage enlarges the hole by passing a larger cutting tool through it. The third stage places the product or casing pipe in the enlarged hole.
